SINGAPORE – As extreme weather events like floods and heatwaves make headlines, a major United Nations report – due to be released next Monday (Aug 9) – will give the world the most up-to-date assessment of climate change.

It will also, for the first time, examine climate extremes in detail as the impacts of global warming become more apparent by the week.
